| HOTEL RANGA |
This luxury ‘ranch-like’ hotel is about 2 hours drive southeast of Reykjavik and is perfectly situated for visiting the wealth of natural wonders on its doorstep. The picturesque surroundings offer views of the recently active Hekla volcano to the north, a range of mountains and glaciers to the northeast & east and, on a clear day, the Westman Islands to the south. With such superb uninterrupted 360 degree skies for miles around, it isn’t surprising that the Ranga is blessed with some truly amazing displays of the northern lights during the months of September to March.
The hotel, near the banks of the East Ranga River, has 38 well appointed rooms, including a Royal Suite, located in two single storey wings either side of the public area. The en suite bedrooms are very tastefully decorated with either twin or double bed, TV, mini-bar and all bathrooms have a bathtub and shower. The deluxe rooms have a sofa, kingsize bed and a Jacuzzi bath. For the 2008 season, 11 new rooms and 3 master suites will be added along with a new dining room, lounge/bar and kitchen as well as additional conference facilities and a luxury spa, in addition to the current outdoor hot tubs.
The hotel already has a bar and comfortable lounge and the restaurant is noted for its extensive wine list and first class international gourmet cuisine, expertly prepared and presented by top chefs. A superb bonus on this trip - the 4 nights at the Ranga are on a full board basis (breakfast, packed lunch and 3-course dinner).
The award-winning Ranga offers high quality accommodation and service to match. Christmas and New Year are particularly special times here and the hotel caters for weddings and honeymoons and other special occasions. |

| HOTEL NORTHERN LIGHTS INN |
This 32 room hotel is located close to the Blue Lagoon, a 2- minute drive in fact, and is just 15 minutes from Keflavik Airport. Overlooking the lava fields of the Reykjanes Peninsula, the place is aptly named as it sits under the Aurora’s geomagnetic green belt meaning displays of the lights are not unusual.
The dining room for such a small hotel is impressive - its panoramic windows offering wonderful views of the surrounds. And the food is impressive too, delicious contemporary cuisine and the best Icelandic culinary classics. |

| HOTEL REYKJAVIK CENTRUM |
As the name would suggest, this new hotel is located in the historic centre of the city – it opened in March 2005 to much acclaim.
The 89 comfortable rooms feature quality furnishings and an elegant décor – with private facilities, hairdryer, TV, radio and telephone, internet connection, mini-bar, in-room safe, tea and coffee making facilities. There is also a comfortable lounge and a stylish restaurant serving authentic Icelandic cuisine and café/bar. Consisting of an original building dating from 1764, blended with two adjacent wings constructed in a similar style, the Centrum has a basement museum built around archaeological remains dating back to 871 – the oldest in Iceland! |
