Once you’ve booked your chosen itinerary, we will supply a detailed Route Description to help you find your way to the accommodation, an excellent mini road atlas and all the other usual items supplied with our Gold Service then basically, the time is yours to go as you please… |
| Day 1: |
fly from the UK to Kelfalvik and transfer to your hotel in the city for an overnight stay. |
| Day 2: |
take a short flight from Reykjavik City Airport to the fjord-side town of Akureyri and collect your rental vehicle. Drive to through gloriously scenic surrounds and arrive at the Lava House after about an hour, depending on the number of times you’ve stopped for a photo opportunity!

| Day 3-4: |
relax at the spacious summerhouse, taking advantage of the outdoor hot tub and spend time exploring. Suggested places to visit are given in the Lava House information on the previous |
| Day 5: |
unfortunately it is time to leave the Lava House! Perhaps take a detour on your way back to Akureyri and visit the beautiful waterfall Godafoss. It is also worth discovering the delights of Akureyri. This charming town has amongst other things, an array of small shops and quaint cafés, a striking hilltop church, colourful Botanical Gardens (summer only) and an outdoor swimming pool complex. Finish with a stroll along the harbour and you have a pleasant way to spend the morning before returning your vehicle to the airport. Fly back to Reykjavik City Airport, transfer to Keflavik and catch the flight back to London. |
