| Day 1: |
fly from the UK to Keflavik. Transfer to Reykjavik for an overnight stay at Hotel
Cabin.

| Day 2: |
time to explore Reykjavik and trio of natural wonders and the Golden Circle route: Thingvellir National Park (Almannagja, Hofdi); two-tiered Gullfoss and the wonders of Geysir. Drive south to the Selfoss area and check in at Hotel Ork for an overnight stay.

| Day 3: |
drive to Stykkisholmur on the Snaefellsnes Peninsula and spend two nights at Hotel Hellnar. Optional boat trip on Breidafjordur Bay to see the many sea birds, including the white-tailed sea eagle.

| Day 4: |
a full day exploring Snaefellsnes (Budir, Grundarfjordur), its craters, lava flows, dramatic coastal landscapes and snow-capped volcano.
|
| Day 5: |
take a scenic ferry ride across Breidafjordur Bay to Bardastrond and visit the westernmost point of Iceland then spend two nights at nearby hotels Latrabjarg or Breidavik.

| Day 6: |
a day to explore the Latrabjarg bird cliffs and hike along the dramatic coastline to Raudisandur beach

| Day 7: |
visit the spectacular fan-shaped Dynjandi waterfalls and spend a leisurely day discovering the fishing villages and unique atmosphere of the West Fjords. Spend two nights at Hotel Isafjordur.

| Day 8: |
take a scenic drive through tranquil fjords to Kaldalon for views of the Drangjokull icecap or take an optional excursion from Isafjordur.
|
| Day 9: |
continue to the Strandir coast and explore this remote, sparsely populated and very beautiful area. Check in at Hotel Laugarholl for two nights.

| Day 10: |
optional kayaking, sea angling, hiking or horse riding in the area.
|
| Day 11: |
travel east across the top of Iceland through glorious scenery and overnight at Hotel Varmahlid.
|
| Day 12: |
visit the Botanical Gardens in Akureyri and continue to Godafoss ‘the waterfall of the Gods’, en route to Lake Myvatn. Stay three nights at Hotel Reynihlid overlooking the lake.

| Day 13: |
explore abundant volcanic and geothermal features (Krafla, Namafjall) and enjoy the bird life on and around the lake.
|
| Day 14: |
drive to Husavik and visit the Whale Museum. Take an optional whale watch trip out into the bay. Drive the impressive Tjornes Peninsula coast road to Asbyrgi and see mighty Dettifoss. Glasgow passengers return to Akureyri and fly to Reykjavik in the evening for an overnight stay, then fly to Glasgow the next morning. London passengers remain at Lake Myvatn.

| Day 15: |
London passengers return to Akureyri and drop off rental vehicle. Fly to Reykjavik and transfer to Keflavik for return flight to the UK. Glasgow passengers have an early transfer to Keflavik.

Please note Glasgow passengers spend their last night in Reykjavik while London passengers spend it at Lake Myvatn – all passengers fly back to the UK on day 15.
