Hotel Jeris takes its name from the beautiful lake by which it is located and this well-run property has a restaurant in the main building with beautiful views towards the lake. It offers a delightful range of lunch and evening dining which includes an à la carte menu and home made local delicacies. There is also a cosy bar with a pool table.

Here we offer two types of accommodation:

Jeris Lakeside these cabins are located closest to the hotel (50-200m) and sleep 2 to 4 persons. They have one bedroom and a sofa bed in the lounge area, a TV, kitchenette and private facilities (shower and WC).

Jeris Village these cabins sleep 4 to 7 persons (in two different styles of cabin) and are ideal for families or groups of friends. They are 300-550m from the hotel, set amongst wooded grounds. All have private facilities and a kitchenette/lounge area with TV. The smaller style has just one bedroom, the larger cabins two bedrooms plus there is space for 3 to 4 children or teenagers to sleep on single mattresses in a galleried loft arrangement – not suitable for small children as there are open banisters.

Something to note – all these cabins have a wood burner, drying cabinet and best of all, a private sauna to which no doubt you’ll become addicted, even on a short break!

At Hotel Jeris try out the excellent Japanese style spa which has glass walls overlooking the lake. Other facilities include two heated indoor relaxation pools, an electric sauna and a traditional wood sauna. During the winter months, a 25m illuminated area of the lake is kept ice free for more adventurous patrons to enjoy a healthy swim!

At Harriniva, the smartly appointed and spacious hotel bedrooms have private facilities and are located in the main ‘cabin style’ property which also has an excellent restaurant and welcoming bar. For a small supplement, it is also possible to stay overnight in the Snow Igloo, which contains individual snow rooms.

These have a double ‘ice bed’ complete with layers of reindeer skins and thermal sleeping bags. The experience may not be for everyone therefore your hotel room will be kept available that night should you prefer to retire to a heated bedroom!

The Wellness Centre at the Harriniva offers a full range of spa and beauty treatments to cleanse the mind, body and soul and the outdoor riverside hot tub is a great place to relax and unwind, perhaps with a glass of champagne, whilst the northern lights dance overhead.

The deep snow in and around the Muonio area is truly superb and, for children of all ages, making a snow angel or simply building a snowman is guaranteed to put a smile on your face. Take this idyllic short break and discover the wilderness of northern Finland and we guarantee you’ll want to return.
