| Day 1: |
fly from London to Winnipeg (via Toronto or Montreal) with Air Canada; transfer on your own from the airport to your elegant city centre hotel (Hotel Fort Garry) for a one night stay on a breakfast basis. |
| Day 2: |
enjoy an hour or two this morning at leisure. Perhaps visit the Manitoba Museum or the quaint Forks Market. You will have a midday transfer to the Winnipeg Airport for your charter flight north to Churchill. Upon arrival you will be met by your Naturalist Guide and transferred to your accommodation. Please note that accommodation for this tour is at the Bear Country Inn, which is a simply furnished and basic property (in keeping with the feel of this northern frontier town). Bear Country Inn does not have any restaurant facilities; other places to dine are however within a short walking distance from the property. A continental breakfast is provided. A Welcome Dinner and orientation session have been planned for this evening, hosted by your guide. (Breakfast and dinner included today) |
| Day 3: |
take a full day tundra buggy tour in search of bears and other wildlife. Packed lunch and hot drinks are provided on board the buggy. Evening at leisure. (Breakfast and lunch included today). |
| Day 4: |
morning cultural and historical guided tour of Churchill and the surrounding area. Afternoon free to explore independently; taking the opportunity to visit the Eskimo Museum or the Parks Canada display. Learn about the history of explorers from Hudson’s Bay Company who founded this outpost town. Possibility of an optional helicopter trip or dog-sled excursion this afternoon (at an additional cost; strictly subject to availability and conditions locally). (Breakfast included today). |
| Day 5: |
second full-day tundra buggy tour in search of bears and other wildlife. Farewell dinner followed by an evening charter flight back to Winnipeg. Upon arrival take the group transfer to the Fort Garry Hotel for an overnight stay. (Breakfast, lunch and dinner included today). |
| Day 6: |
Check out of your hotel and make your own way to Winnipeg airport for the return overnight flight with Air Canada (via Toronto or Montreal) to the UK. |
| Day 7: |
arrive UK. |
