Spend a night in a private ice room, in a polar sleeping bag on an ice bed. Heated washroom/warm room facilities are nearby at the underground sauna and breakfast is taken at Lainio Krouvi restaurant, open from 07:00 to 22:30 daily. During your night here, your bags are stored in a luggage room.

These wonderful tepees which sleep two, have a cosy seating area with kitchenette, a sauna, Jacuzzi and a sleeping loft with a very special feature – a skylight for keeping vigil on the aurora borealis. Alternatively, you may prefer sitting shoulder deep in the outside hot tub whilst watching the dancing lights overhead. The 10 self-contained apartments of Hotel On-Piste are functional and homely: the ground floor apartments sleep two, the larger sleep four and are located on the first floor – it is also possible to add a sofa bed for 1 or 2 children. The apartments have their own private entrance and include a kitchenette/lounge area; TV, Internet connection, radio and CD and a private shower/WC with the addition of a sauna – perfect after a day out in the snow!

As the On-Piste is 300m above sea level the views from the apartments, either of the ski slopes or over beautiful fell scenery, are fantastic. The excellent restaurant has ample seating both indoors and out on the large terrace, again with tremendous views all round. Lunch and dinner menus feature traditionally-inspired cuisine.

This large ski resort hotel with excellent facilities has 84 non-smoking rooms over four floors, equipped with private facilities (shower and WC); TV; telephone; Internet connection; a refrigerator; hair and clothes dryers. Most rooms also have a balcony or a terrace.

The spa complex with its fabulous views overlooking the countryside, offers steam saunas; a traditional Finnish wood sauna; hot tubs; a hot tub in a natural stone cave with delicate mood lighting; a private sauna for hire by hotel guests; a 20m indoor pool and another for children; a gym with a health and fitness programme. Hotel guests have complimentary use of the spa, pool, gym etc but the range of therapeutic massage and pampering beauty treatments are optional extras.

There are two restaurants on site providing a whole range of international dining from an à la carte menu to an extensive buffet service. There is also a cosy fireside bar and sometimes live music at the hotel.
