fly UK to Ivalo via Helsinki and transfer to Kakslauttanen. Check in for a 3-night stay, rest of the day at leisure. |

time to enjoy optional excursions or just soak in your surrounds. |
| Day 4: |
check out of the hotel and transfer to Ivalo airport. Fly to Helsinki and onwards to the UK. |

| CHRISTMAS ITINERARY |
| Kakslauttanen specialises in celebrating a traditional Finnish Christmas, with Christmas Eve being the most important day. Limited to a maximum of 75 people means a magical family atmosphere is guaranteed throughout. |
| Day 1: |
fly UK to Ivalo via Helsinki and transfer to Kakslauttanen. Check in for a 4-night stay on a half board basis, rest of the day at leisure. |
| Day 2: |
Christmas Eve after breakfast head off into the lantern-lit forest by snowmobile in search of the perfect Christmas tree. Enjoy a warm fireside drink and a talk by the guide about Finnish festive customs whilst the tree is felled and returned to the hotel. After lunch decorate the tree and have time to relax or take a warming sauna before transferring to a tiny wooden chapel for the Christmas Eve service (held in English). Many choose the option to walk the 2km to the chapel, set deep within the forest with torches lighting the way. Return to the hotel to get ready for a typical Finnish Christmas Eve buffet and festivities. Later that evening Santa arrives, naturally by reindeer sleigh and hands out gifts for the children (secretly provided by their parents at the start of the holiday). |
| Days 3/4: |
Christmas Day & Boxing Day time to participate in an optional excursion, use one of the complimentary kick-sleighs at the hotel or simply relax and enjoy the beautiful Kakslauttanen surrounds. |
| Day 5: |
check out of the hotel and transfer to Ivalo airport. Fly to Helsinki and onwards to the UK. |
