As you can see from the resort map, there are several advanced slopes and offpiste areas and, even if you have brought the family, these can be enjoyed in the knowledge that there are safe and fun organised schemes in the resort that will keep children and teenagers entertained.
For those who enjoy off-piste skiing, the old legend of ‘Svarta Bjorn’ (Black Bear) has given its name to the best off-piste skiing area. Here you can find large open spaces, plenty of drops and a beautiful ravine where the deepest snow is concentrated.
As the ski season in Bjorkliden extends across several school holidays this is the ideal place to visit as a family. The nursery slopes may be enjoyed by children and novices alike and ski instruction is available at additional cost. Kids will love the junior size snowmobiles which they can drive themselves (for ages 5-12) and the ‘real deal’ are also available to add some adrenalin-fuelled excursion opportunities for big kids! Throughout the day the relaxed atmosphere of the Snow Bar invites skiers of all ages, to sit outside and enjoy the views whilst sipping a delicious hot chocolate!
Please note you can ski directly to the accommodation from the slopes, conditions permitting, and ski shops and lifts are within easy walking distance from the main hotel reception area so no need to struggle with your ski equipment on and off the transfer buses. All accommodation options have adequate storage facilities for your ski gear.
