Bjorkliden has a range of accommodation options around the resort and we tend to focus on the more popular. However, if you would like to find out about any other options not mentioned here, then please do call one of our Lapland travel consultants.
Hotel Fjallet is set on a slightly elevated position at the foot of the slopes with easy access to the ski lifts. It is small with 48 rooms comfortably and simply furnished, all with private facilities (WC & shower), TV and telephone. In addition to the usual single, twin and double rooms there are 5 family rooms which sleep up to 4.
The hotel has wonderful daytime views of the area and at night, provides the main focus for the après ski scene – a happy hour gets skiers warmed up before dinner and afterwards there is often live music. In addition to the restaurant and bar, there is a cosy lounge bar with the obligatory crackling log fire, a small gym, sauna and solarium complimentary to guests. There is also an on site ski shop.
We offer a number of recently renovated selfcatering cabins at the Kappas Holiday Village. Comfortably furnished with a lounge/kitchenette area and private facilities (shower and WC), the cabins have two bedrooms and sleep up to five – they also have private saunas.
The Laktatjakko Mountain Lodge is superbly situated near the top of the mountain with, as you would expect, spectacular views of the surrounds. Built in the 1930’s, this traditionallystyled wooden lodge has 10 rooms with hand basin - shower/WC and sauna facilities are shared. The lodge has a lounge and traditional restaurant offering locally-inspired cuisine and the legendary Lakta waffles served hot with cream and jam are not to be missed! There is also a bar which is actually the highest in Sweden at 1,228m above sea level! We can offer overnight excursions here – please call us for details.
Please note you can ski directly to the accommodation from the slopes, conditions permitting, and ski shops and lifts are within easy walking distance from the main hotel reception area so no need to struggle with your ski equipment on and off the transfer buses. All accommodation options have adequate storage facilities for your ski gear. |
