Iceland Holidays

Iceland never ceases to amaze - the mouthwatering scenery is an adventure in itself, with volcanic craters, lava flows, hot springs and geysers, glaciers and stunning waterfalls offering a new view around every corner.

Tailor-made holidays to Iceland
Experience an Iceland holiday with Discover the World. With over 20 years experience of running holidays to Iceland, we are pretty confident we know what makes a good holiday there (click here for 10 reasons!). In addition to our range of fabulous holidays contained in our Summer and Winter brochures, we also have many staff native to Iceland able to offer you expert advice and information - all to hopefully ensure that you have a great holiday!

Iceland's Holiday Seasons
Our brochure and website are split into Summer and Winter seasons, although we have many year round holidays too.

  • Summer Holidays (May to September)
The high season is in June and August but May and June are the best months for wild flowers and birds, but if you want to travel through the uninhabited interior of Iceland, you should plan to visit mid-July to early September as most of the highland tracks are only open during this period. • Winter Holidays (September to April)
From late August until March, the spectacular northern lights can often be observed. In winter, November, December and January are the darkest months, but the sun still shines and, especially when there is snow on the ground, there can be four to five hours of daylight.
