The cornerstone of our Iceland programme and a success year after year, our Iceland Countryside Tours offer an in depth experience of the island. Popular with first and second-time visitors alike, the tours are based around several hand-picked centres and focus on different regions of the country.
|
A typical tour begins with a buffet breakfast at your accommodation and time to prepare for a day of exploration by coach. You will be accompanied by an English speaking guide, who will provide an informative and enthusiastic commentary as you witness the stunning scenery of Iceland’s countryside. There will be time to stop and enjoy short walks around key places of interest and natural beauty, along with a stop for a picnic lunch.
You’ll return home in the late afternoon with time to relax before enjoying a dinner of the freshest seafood and traditional Icelandic lamb. Later you can take part in a choice of optional activities. There is also the chance to go swimming in some of Iceland’s geothermal swimming pools.
Choose between the Southern, Northern and new this year, the Eastern Countryside Tour or the Grand Countryside Tour, which is a combination of the North and South. However, should you wish to combine the Eastern Tour with either the South or North, or even the Grand, making a 3-week circumnavigation of the island, contact us and we shall be happy to provide a quotation and discuss your travel plans.
